Long before MSK Labs, founder Mishel Chernyavskiy spent nearly a decade on one thing: making skin look like the best version of itself.
She started her first tanning business in high school and grew it into MSK Studio, where she now tans thousands of women a year.
She serves as the Lead Spray Tan Artist and Skin Finishing Expert and continues to work with celebrities, models, and clients from every walk of life. This taught her one thing that never changed:

But it also exposed a bigger problem.
The self-tan industry had gotten comfortable. Orange undertones, patchy fades, sticky formulas, and skin that somehow felt worse after tanning had become the norm. Everyone complained about it. Few people questioned it.
Mishel did.
After years of working hands-on with skin, she knew the secret had never been the color. It was the skin underneath. Because when skin is healthy, hydrated, and cared for, the glow doesn't just look better—it behaves better.

Good to Know
Why are there two different tanners — can't I just use one everywhere?
Yes you can, but the results will vary. The Night Affair (face) has a lower DHA level and no bronzer, for a soft, gradual glow that builds over time and won't transfer onto your pillow. The Quickie (body) has a higher level of tanning agents for a deeper, customizable tan you control by rinse time.
Will it turn my skin orange?
No. Both formulas use DHA + erythrulose, which develop into a natural bronze tone — never orange — and fade evenly. Applied as directed, they're completely streak-free.
How do I use everything together?
Body: apply The Quickie to clean, dry skin using the mitt, blend from the neck down, and rinse after 1–8 hours (longer = deeper color). You could use the quickie on your face if you'd like a deeper complexion.
Face: before bed, apply 2–3 pumps of The Night Affair to clean, dry skin, wash your hands, and rinse off in the morning. You can do both on the same day or use the night affair a few days after to keep the tan on your face lasting longer.
How do I control how dark I get?
With The Quickie, depth is all about rinse time: 30 min–1 hr for light, 2–3 hrs for medium, 4–5 hrs for dark, 6–8 hrs for deep — and color keeps developing for 8–12 hours after you rinse. The Night Affair builds gradually: use it 2–3 nights a week and it deepens with each application.
How long does the color last?
Your body tan lasts about 5–10 days, and your face tan averages around 3 days (typically 2–5), since facial skin is cleansed and exfoliated more often. Keeping skin moisturized and avoiding harsh scrubs helps both last longer.
How long will the set last me?
One Night Affair bottle lasts approximately 3 months when used 3 times per week. One Quickie tube gives about 5 full-body applications (more if you're only tanning legs, arms, or your chest). The mitt is reusable, so it stays with you.
Is it good for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes. Both formulas are gel-based, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist-approved — Both are powered by skincare actives: niacinamide, lactic acid, squalane, and hyaluronic acid. Both contain our signature fragrance to block the self tan smell we all hate, so patch test before first use if your skin is very sensitive.
How do I prep my skin?
Start with clean, dry skin and exfoliate a few hours before — or the day before. Avoid heavy lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, and anything with mineral oils right before applying, since residue can cause uneven color.
How do I remove or fade the tan?
Both fade gradually as your skin naturally exfoliates. To speed it up, gently exfoliate in the shower with a body scrub, Tan remover, or loofah.
